Meet the Team

CPT Brown has been in the U.S. Army for over 15 years. He loves his two dogs. His favorite sport is baseball. He's also a big STAR WARS fan!

Mrs. Thach graduated from CSU Sacramento with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She loves Psyduck and Batman! Fun fact: She has swam with the sharks in Hawaii!

Mr. Perez has a Master's degree in Teaching Technology and is passionate about making technology accessible for all students through hands-on learning. He enjoys going on new adventures and trying new experiences that broaden his perspective.

Mr. Wrightman has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from CSUSB and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Redlands. He has a combined total of over 16 years in Active Duty Army and  CA Army National Guard as a medic and UH-60 pilot. When not at STARBASE you can find him spending time with his wife and 3 daughters. He also loves to climb! 

Mrs. Harris grew up in New York and received a Bachelors in Arts in Education. She loves the outdoors and camping with her family and dogs! Fun fact: Mrs. Harris enjoys creating ceramics in her free time.

Ms. Rios is a STARBASE Sacramento alumni! She served 10 years in the Navy and has traveled to many countries. She's a dedicated runner and has completed multiple marathons!

Mr. Scull is a Vietnam Veteran and our favorite engineer! He has created STARBASE equipment and instruments that we use in our curriculum. He is a retired 8th grade Math teacher and loves to test students' knowledge on Hello Kitty and friends.

Mr. Magnusson is a retired engi-nerd. He spent his career making computer chips and software for Intel and the DoD. When he's not volunteering, he's either reading spy novels or busy 3D printing his latest gadgets!
